Music Of Our Time explores pleasing, contemporary classical music of the late 20th century and early 21st century. It is broadcast on the first Monday of each month at 10pm.

The September 2022 program features an interview with Dr Robert Davidson, who is a prolific Brisbane composer, bassist, pianist, and senior lecturer of composition at UQ. He’s also the founder and artistic director of Topology, one of Australia’s leading new music ensembles.
He discusses his connection to Brisbane and 4MBS, and how he wrote ‘Not Now, Not Ever’, the inventive choral work based on Julia Gillard’s famous ‘misogyny’ speech.
Later in the program, he talks about his beautiful ballet work ‘From. To. Here’, and his delightful new piano album ‘Diary Pages’.
Also featured – music by Jessica Wells, Eric Griswold, Nigel Westlake/Lior – and the Max Richter reimagining of Vivaldi’s ‘Spring’ from The Four Seasons – because who doesn’t love celebrating spring?!
