You can support 4MBS Classic FM with a tax deductible donation to the 4MBS Fine Music Fund. Donations will be made to the Music Broadcasting Society of Queensland Ltd, which is the not-for-profit organisation that operates 4MBS Classic FM.

The 4MBS Fine Music Fund is listed on the Australian Register of Cultural Organisations. You can support the work of 4MBS Classic FM by making a fully tax deductible donation to the Fund. You will be issued with a receipt for tax purposes.

Each year, 4MBS Classic FM hosts a radiothon to raise funds to support the arts in Queensland. THE HOWARD AINSWORTH MEMORIAL FUND

Howard Ainsworth was 4MBS Classic FM’s Broadcasts Manager from 1993 until shortly before he passed away in 2015. He was renowned for his signature radio program Music Lover’s Choice, on which he interviewed prominent figures in the community, and local and international musicians.

To commemorate the enormous contributions made to 4MBS, the arts and broadcasting in general, 4MBS has established the Howard Ainsworth Memorial Fund. Donations to the Fund will be utilised in the the areas of maintenance and upgrading of broadcasting equipment, announcer training, and announcer reference and research facilities – areas in which Howard was tirelessly involved, applying his invaluable experience gained as one of Australia’s longest serving broadcasters.
