Station Manager Gary Thorpe speaks with Queensland Community Foundation (QCF) Innovation Philanthropy Award Winner Tony Sharp.

Tony is the founder of Substation33: YFS social enterprise based in Logan. Substation33 opened its doors in January 2013 as an electronic waste recycling centre, providing a workplace where volunteers and employees gain confidence and skills for the transition to sustainable employment. Its purpose is to provide training and employment opportunities through the recycling of electronic waste.  Tony is passionate about creating sustainable ‘Social Enterprises’ that offer people from a wide range of backgrounds the opportunity to mingle, share ideas and experiences and develop employability skills.
