This special edition also includes a DVD of the live TV recording. The words from Schiller's 'Ode an die Freude' (Ode to Joy) were changed: the word 'Freude' (Joy) became 'Freiheit' (Freedom). The performers include four soloists including Sarah Walker, three choirs and members of six orchestras from Bavaria, Dresden, Leningrad, London, New York and Paris. Children also participated in the choir in the hope that the joy of the experience would carry on into their adult lives.
