Meet Shakespeare’s Wicked Witches!
Join us by the cauldron for this interactive, child-friendly version of Macbeth. Practice your best witch impersonation and cackle to help recite the magic spell!
This FREE 30-minute activity for kids explores the creepy world of Shakespeare’s wicked witches and the basic storyline of Macbeth. Kids will get to dress up and act out some famous scenes from the play (watered down, of course!).
Children will love taking part in this interactive story, presented by educators and theatre professionals MAXINE MELLOR and NADINE KELLY.

En garde! Agente! Watch authentic Shakespearean swordplay by PRIMA SPADA SCHOOL OF FENCE and learn about the skills and weaponry used in historical fencing.

Watch your back amongst witches, ghosts, and an overambitious Scottish general. Experience Shakespeare’s haunting tragedy in the open air, directed by multi-Matilda Award winner EUGENE GILFEDDER, with an outstanding cast of Brisbane Shakespearean actors.

SEATING:
The lush Amphitheatre features grass-covered seats, but bring a rug or cushion for extra comfort.
FOOD & BEVERAGES:
Pack a picnic, or purchase food and drinks from the available food trucks. ROAM’IN PIZZA, OH WAFFLES and SOFT & FROSTY ice-cream will be serving before and during the play.
WHAT TO WEAR:
Thou art welcome to dress in the theme of Halloween, or Macbeth.
Witches’ robes, ghostly garb, and Scottish tartan, will all impress!
TRAVEL INFORMATION:
The parkland is a 10-minute walk from Brisbane’s CBD and is adjacent to Roma Street bus and train station. Metered parking is available at College Close Car Park and along Parkland Boulevard. For drop-offs, Wickham Terrace is the closest road to the amphitheatre that is publicly accessible.
