From Bach to Bizet through Germany, Austria & Hungary

This year is the 800th anniversary of the formation of Leipzig's St Thomas Boys' Choir which,
from 1723 to 1750, was directed by Johann Sebastian Bach.

Celebrating Bach's outstanding contributions to classical & sacred music, the Summer Days of Music & Wine Tour begins in the city of Leipzig, well known for its association not only with Bach but also
with such musical greats as Telemann, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Wagner & Mahler.

Tour highlights include three nights in Leipzig, a performance by the St Thomas Boys' Choir, a visit to Halle,
two nights in Nurnberg (with its annual Klassic Open Air Concert), two nights in Linz, a two hour cruise on the Danube, a night in Schloss Haindorf, a night in Sopron and three nights in Vienna.
